DJ Matab is a Melbourne-based DJ, producer, radio host and curator specialising in global electronic music with a focus on SWANA, Italo, Afro, Latin and world grooves. Known for transforming forgotten favourites and igniting new passions, he creates musical journeys that connect cultures and dance floors.
With international performance credits spanning Tokyo, Berlin, Ibiza, New York, Rome, Valencia and Belgrade, DJ Matab has established himself in the global electronic music scene. He has performed at Renaissance Festival and supported Omar Souleyman in Melbourne. In December 2026 he will curate and close the Dounya El Disco stage at When Pigs Fly NYE Festival at Collingwood Children's Farm.
Creator of Dounya El Disco — a party series celebrating global sounds, he hosts the Dounya show on PBS 106.7FM and Al Zaytouna on Radio AlHara, and is co-founder of Laymoon Arts, a not-for-profit advancing the arts in Australia.
